Govt proposes blue-green registration plate for hydrogen autos

A draft notification issued by the Union ministry of highway transport and highways on June 26 proposed that in case of personal autos working on hydrogen, the quantity plate’s high half will probably be inexperienced and the underside half will probably be blue, whereas figures will probably be in white. The similar color mixture will apply to industrial autos as properly, besides that the figures will probably be in yellow.

In case of cabs, the quantity plate will probably be black (high half) and blue (backside half). Like for industrial autos, the figures will probably be in yellow.

The notification mentioned all stakeholders might ship their objections and feedback on the proposal to the ministry.

The authorities had earlier launched inexperienced quantity plates for electrical autos (EVs).

Currently, hydrogen autos in India are primarily operational as a part of pilot tasks supported by the federal government and multilateral companies.
