Vikrant on insider vs outdoors debate in movie trade
In an interview with Screen, Vikrant confused that these outdoors the trade are sometimes those fueling the dialog, whereas inside the movie fraternity, the traces aren’t so stark. “Ye sab social media ki baatein hai. Ye wahi log karte hai jo baahar baithe hai (This is just social media chatter. It is just completed by those that should not a part of the movie trade),” the 12 Fail actor mentioned.
Vikrant began his profession on tv and step by step labored his manner into acclaimed movies like A Death within the Gunj, Chhapaak, and twelfth Fail. Despite not having a movie lineage, he has managed to carve a stable area for himself within the trade.
“If you are part of the fraternity that we belong to, nobody sees it like that. Majority of them, at least, I can speak for myself, and you must listen to me, because I am the ‘so-called outsider’, esa kuch nahi hai, ye sab social media wali baat hai (there’s no debate like that, it is only on social media). So we don’t pay attention to it because none of it is true,” Vikrant mentioned.

Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan stars Vikrant Massey alongside Shanaya Kapoor, marking the latter’s Bollywood debut. Directed by Santosh Singh and written by Mansi Bagla, the movie is produced by Zee Studios and Mini Films. Makers launched the trailer of the movie on Tuesday. In it, Vikrant performs a visually impaired character who falls in love with Shanaya, a theatre artist on an experimental journey, selecting to expertise the world blindfolded. The movie is scheduled for theatrical launch on 11 July.
