
Heeding farmers demand, Karnataka authorities drops acquisition of 1,777 acres of agriculture land in Devanahalli taluk for aerospace park

Chief Minister Siddaramaiah made the announcement because the farmers’ protest entered the 1,198th day on July 15.
However, the Chief Minister has made it clear that the federal government would purchase property of these farmers who’ve volunteered to surrender their land for the undertaking, by providing increased costs and sops, like a part of developed land.
The Chief Minister stated that there was now a chance of industrialists, who wished to arrange their institutions within the proposed park, going to neighbouring States. Even then, the federal government had determined to shelve the land acquisition course of within the curiosity of farmers who had been eager that their land shouldn’t be acquired, he stated.
The farmers of Devanahalli taluk had been protesting for the final 1,198 days in Channarayapatna demanding withdrawal of the land acquisition course of.
