Man doused with petrol, set on fireplace over parking row in Delhis R.Okay. Puram

A dispute over a parking house in R.Okay. Puram led to a person being doused with petrol and sustaining 20% burn accidents on Sunday night time, the police stated on Monday. The injured man has been recognized as Rahul Chauhan, a sanitation employee on the Municipal Corporation of Delhi. He is being handled at a hospital and his situation is secure, the police added.

The accused, Gaya Prasad, a 42-year-old mechanic, is being questioned by the police. Based on Mr. Chauhan’s assertion, a case has been registered in opposition to the accused beneath Section 109(1) (try to homicide) of the BNS.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (South West) Amit Goel stated a PCR name was obtained on the R.Okay. Puram police station on Sunday night time a few man being set ablaze. A police group reached the spot and located Mr. Chauhan with burn accidents. He was then rushed to a trauma centre within the PCR van, the police officer added.

Mr. Chauhan’s cousin, Siddhant Raj, who was on the spot in the course of the incident, informed the police that they have been sitting inside their parked car close to Mr. Prasad’s store when he requested them to maneuver. This led to an argument and the accused poured petrol on Mr. Chauhan, which immediately sparked a hearth, Mr. Raj stated. “As per the preliminary investigation, the fireplace may have been attributable to a cigarette lit contained in the automotive,” Mr. Goel stated.
