
Centre praises Rajasthans efforts to stop meals adulteration

Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) chief government officer G. Kamala Vardhana Rao mentioned right here on Wednesday (July 16, 2025) that the samples of edible gadgets similar to milk, ghee, cheese, and spices needs to be collected commonly and the circumstances registered for them be disposed of promptly.
Mr. Rao reviewed the work being carried out within the State for regulation of meals manufacture, storage, distribution and sale beneath the Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006. Chief Medical & Health Officers, Food Safety Officers and administrative officers attended the regional overview assembly.
Regulatory Compliance Division’s Director Rakesh Kumar mentioned the circumstances registered beneath the Food Safety and Standards Act needs to be determined inside a most of 90 days after the sampling.
Haulianlal Guite, Commissioner, Food Safety & Drug Control within the Rajasthan Directorate of Medical, Health & Family Welfare, mentioned a man-made intelligence-based app was being developed for actual time monitoring of motion taken for meals security and offering crucial info to the general public.
Mr. Guite mentioned over 18,200 meals samples have been taken within the State throughout 2024-25 and 863 of them have been discovered unsafe, whereas 3,734 have been sub-standard and 131 have been misbranded. Necessary motion had been taken after analysing over 17,600 samples, he mentioned.
