A video of the incident, captured on CCTV, reveals three males, carrying masks, coming into the workplace within the slim lanes of Chandni Chowk. One of them has a bag and one other appears to be hiding one thing inside his t-shirt as they make their approach into the workplace. The timestamp of the video reveals that the incident occurred at round 2.00 pm.
According to the official, two of the assailants entered the workplace of a person recognized as Vicky Jain, 40, fired photographs and ran away with a bag full of money.
“A PCR call was received at the Lahori Gate police station at around 2.30 pm regarding a robbery incident. Upon reaching the spot, officers found the glass door of Jain’s office shattered,” PTI quoted Deputy Commissioner of Police (North) Raja Banthia as saying.
Looted at gunpoint
According to the enterprise proprietor, Vicky Jain, two males entered his workplace underneath the pretext of enterprise earlier than one among them fired on the door of the workplace, whereas the third confederate was ready downstairs. The two males held Jain at gunpoint and looted round ₹35 lakh in money from him, PTI reported citing the official.
The duo requested the workers on the workplace at hand over the money and fired another spherical when refused, in line with Jain.
“They broke open the door and asked my employees to hand over all the cash. When they refused, the assailants fired another round. They then fled with the bag containing money. All of it was over in just two minutes,” stated Jain.
