The bus, despatched by the Jammu and Kashmir authorities, was transporting 14 women to Srinagar after they arrived at Delhi airport by flight. The women had already travelled greater than 2,000 km by highway in Iran to succeed in residence safely.

However, the bus has been going through difficulties resulting from a mechanical failure. Earlier, college students from Jammu and Kashmir who had been evacuated from Iran complained concerning the poor home journey preparations made by the Jammu and Kashmir authorities.

In a video on X, the Jammu and Kashmir Students Association confirmed the run-down situation of the bus.

“After enduring a harrowing four-day journey from Iran via Armenia and Doha, Kashmiri students have reached Delhi, only to be dumped in SRTC buses, unlike students from other states who were received with proper airport facilitation, care, and connecting flights home,” the affiliation mentioned.

In response to the scholar’s earlier complaints, the workplace of the chief minister of Jammu and Kashmir said on  X, “The Chief Minister has taken observe of the request of the scholars evacuated from Iran relating to the standard of buses organized to move them from Delhi to J&Okay. The Resident Commissioner has been tasked with coordinating with the JKRTC to make sure correct deluxe buses are organized.”

The group of scholars had arrived in Delhi on a flight that carried 110 Indian college students from Iran, with 90 of them belonging to Jammu and Kashmir as part of Operation Sindhu. The flight transited by way of Armenia and Doha and confronted delays earlier than touchdown in Delhi. The Ministry of External Affairs said {that a} complete of 827 Indian nationals had been evacuated from Iran until date.
