Opposition resorted to sloganeering and loud protests demanding a dialogue on Bihar SIR. Several members gathered on the Well of the House, shouting slogans and displaying placards.
Speaker Om Birla objected to the show of placards contained in the House and requested the protesting to return to their seats. He additionally tried interesting to Congress chief Okay.C. Venugopal in opposition to the present of placards and protests within the Well of the House.

Mr. Birla’s repeated appeals in opposition to the protests and present of placards failed. He mentioned that the actions doesn’t go well with the “dignity of the House” and mentioned that it despatched out a improper message to the general public. As the protests continued, he adjourned the House until 2 p.m.
Meanwhile, within the Rajya Sabha, all notices below Rule 267, demanding discussions on numerous points, had been rejected by Deputy Chairman Harivansh. The Upper House bid farewell to 6 members from Tamil Nadu — M.M. Abdullah, N. Chandrasekaran, Anbumani Ramdoss, M. Shanmugam, Vaiko and P Wilson — who’re retiring.
