
Two BSF personnel injured in assault by suspected cattle smugglers in Meghalaya

“The BSF personnel noticed actions of 30 to 40 cattle heads together with round 20 individuals on the Bangladeshi facet of the border,” in accordance with an FIR lodged with the Meghalaya Police.
“On being challenged, the miscreants, assisted by one other group of 40 to 50 people from throughout the border in Bangladesh, tried to cross into Indian territory and commenced pelting stones on the BSF personnel,” it mentioned. “In the assault, two BSF jawans sustained accidents,” it mentioned.
“In self-defence, BSF troops fired a number of warning pictures and clean rounds to disperse the attackers,” the border-guarding drive mentioned in a press release. “Following the incident, the miscreants fled the realm, and BSF personnel recovered 13 cattle heads,” it mentioned. “Further investigation is beneath manner,” it added.
