Vijayawada: The Krishna river is in spate as over 9.94 lakh cusecs of water is being discharged from Prakasam barrage downstream into the ocean right here at 10 pm on Monday.
The water assets authorities stated they have been getting an influx of 9.94 lakh cusecs of water from upstream tasks forcing them to raise all 70 gates to launch water downstream.
The authorities say that with rainfall within the Krishna catchment areas, the influx of water will proceed on the barrage. As the second flood warning is in drive at current, the authorities have sounded excessive alert at each upstream and downstream of the barrage to keep away from any untoward incidents.
