CPI (Maoist) East Bastar divisional committee in-charge and State zonal committee member (SZCM) Jorige Nagaraju alias Kamalesh and his spouse Medaka Jyoteeswari alias Aruna, divisional committee member surrendered earlier than Director General of Police (DGP) Harish Kumar Gupta in Vijayawada on Saturday (July 26, 2025).

Additional DGP (Law and Order) N. Madhusudhan Reddy, IGP (Operations) Srikanth, IGP (Intelligence) P.H.D. Ramakrishna, Visakhapatnam Range DIG Gopinath Jatti, ASR district SP Amit Bardar and different officers participated. The DGP handed over cheques amounted to ₹22 lakh to 13 different surrendered Maoists on the event.
