Nagaraju, a local of Poranki village, Krishna district, served in numerous cadres within the banned Maoist celebration for 34 years and carries a reward of ₹20 lakh on his head. His spouse Aruna, who hails from Kappaladoddi village in Krishna district, labored in numerous cadres within the celebration for 30 years. “Government introduced a reward of ₹5 lakh on her head,” the DGP stated at a press convention.

While pursuing ITI, Nagaraju joined in Radical Students Union (RSU) in 1991 and joined in then People’s War Group (PWG). He labored as assistant and courier to celebration central committee member, late Akkiraju Haragopal alias R.Okay. “On particular data, the Alluri Sitarama Raju (ASR) district police unearthed three Maoist armed dumps in Mampa, Madugukota and Tangedukota forests from July 23 to 25 and seized one AK-47, 5 SLRs, two INSAS rifles, 5 303 rifles, two BGL weapons, one pistol, 16 BGL shells and 20 cartridges, 15 detonators, eight walkies, large amount of ammunition, a telescope and different materials,” the DGP defined.
Additional DGP (Law and Order) N. Madhusudhan Reddy, IGP (Operations) Srikanth, IGP (Intelligence) P.H.D. Ramakrishna, Visakhapatnam Range DIG Gopinath Jatti, ASR district SP Amit Bardar and different officers participated. The DGP handed over cheques amounted to ₹22 lakh to 13 different surrendered Maoists on the event.
