
Two injured in sword assault in Dakshina Kannada, second such incident in a month
Two males have been injured in a sword assault in Bantwal, Dakshina Kannada, on Tuesday, in what is the second such incident throughout the district this month. The victims, Imtiyaz and Kalandar, have been attacked whereas unloading gravel. One sustained extreme accidents. Police are investigating the case.

Two males have been injured in a sword assault throughout the Irakodi house of Bantwal in Karnataka’s Dakshina Kannada district on Tuesday, police acknowledged. The victims, acknowledged as Imtiyaz and Kalandar, have been unloading gravel when two unidentified assailants arrived on a bike and attacked them with a sword. Imtiyaz suffered extreme accidents, whereas Kalandar sustained wounds to his hand. Both have been taken to a close-by hospital for remedy.
Police have launched an investigation and are working to find out and apprehend the attackers, who fled the scene immediately after the assault. The motive behind the assault is however to be ascertained.
This is the second sword assault reported in Dakshina Kannada this month. Earlier, Suhas Shetty — a murder accused reportedly associated to plenty of native right-wing groups — was hacked to dying in broad daylight on a busy avenue in Mangaluru. Sources acknowledged he was killed by contract killers allegedly employed by the family of thought of one in all his victims. Shetty, who had plenty of police circumstances in opposition to him, was attacked by at least 5 males wielding swords and machetes.
Both incidents have raised points regarding the rising incidence of avenue violence throughout the district, prompting authorities to intensify security measures and reassure most people.
