Tensions flared in Islamabad on Sunday as supporters of imprisoned former Prime Minister Imran Khan clashed with police throughout a Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) rally demanding his quick launch. The demonstration, held close to the Sangjani Cattle Market within the capital’s suburbs, turned violent when police moved to disperse the gang after the occasion allegedly exceeded its permitted time. The police fired tear gasoline to disperse the gang.
