A witness named Brian informed FOX31’s Jeremy Hubbard that he didn’t intervene as a result of he was afraid of repercussions to his household. “You see all these hate crimes that are going on around the country, things that are happening to Jews all around the country, and I’ve got two kids and despite my my initial instinct to run into this situation it’s once I was there, I realized how dangerous it was, which is one of the reasons why I didn’t go and and tackle this guy,” Brian informed Hubbard. “But like I didn’t want to do anything that would affect my family.”
‘Our thoughts and prayers are with the five burn victims’
The assault befell throughout a peaceable weekly demonstration held by Run for Their Lives, a bunch which described itself as an apolitical group that has the one mission of “walking peacefully to raise awareness for the 58 hostages still held in captivity by Hamas in Gaza.” “Our thoughts and prayers are with the five burn victims from today’s attack for a speedy recovery,” the group stated in a press release after the assault, kxan reported. “We thank law enforcement and the fire department for their quick response and to the doctors and nurses working to heal.”
FBI Director Kash Patel stated the incident is being investigated as a “targeted terror attack.” Deputy Director Dan Bongino added that the FBI believes the assault was “ideologically motivated violence,” based on “early data, the proof and witness accounts.”
Leo Terrell, head of the antisemitism job power on the Justice Department, condemned the assault. “This was not an isolated incident,” Terrell stated, based on ABC News. “This antisemitic terrorist assault is a part of a horrific and escalating wave of violence concentrating on Jews and their supporters merely for being Jewish or standing up for Jewish lives.”
Terrell famous that the assault befell on the eve of a Jewish vacation, Shavuot, “making it all of the extra chilling and merciless.”
